A supporting graphic made for the ebi inc. website for a news article about opioid use. The author the article requested a non-offensive representation of drug use and enough text to properly summarize the article.
The text is composed in a rectangle shape with alternating colors to guide the reader. in accordance with the ebi style guide, the font approved for "headlines" was used. The orange and light blue are primary and secondary color options, respectively. the background is the primary ebi blue. The hand and bottle is a simple vector graphic. The green used for the pills is a tertiary color from the style guide, and is used more than what would normally be acceptable, but because of the subject matter and the relation of the color green to poison, it was allowable. The pills also serve as the primary focal point and attention grabber for people scrolling through social media. Everything under the text is overlaid with a canvas texture blended with a grunge matte.
